Notices from OITA

When someone learns of a problem from OITA, there is not currently a way to send emails to all faculty about it. If you would like an email when something comes, up with PowerSchool or Schoology, please email Bram and he'll put you on a notification list. Meanwhile, here's what we've heard so far.

Private comments in Schoology go public in PowerSchool

Mrs. GAUDREAU posted a course update to Getting Started with Schoology: August PD:

I notice that if I add comments in Schoology to the gradebook and choose to NOT make the comments visible to the student, when I sync grades with UC the private comment appears on their UC page. Please confirm whether those comments are no longer private, and ALL comments entered into Schoology gradebook will eventually be made public to the student. TYIA

Renaissance Issues with Grading Categories

One of OITA’s PowerSchool specialists Christian Carde-Guzman says he’s been getting lots of tickets recently from Renaissance teachers about category setup issues and wants to know if it’s school-wide. He’s asked for help knowing how many have what problem.
